Job Summary:
The F&B Captain is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the service staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining smooth operations within the dining area. They act as a liaison between guests and service staff and ensure all guests have a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests and ensure they are seated comfortably.
Supervise and assist service staff during meal periods.
Ensure proper setup of dining areas, including cleanliness and presentation.
Take and serve orders accurately and efficiently when needed.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely food and beverage delivery.
Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
Train and guide new service staff and monitor their performance.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
Monitor inventory and report shortages to the manager.
Assist with closing procedures, including cash handling and shift reports.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in food and beverage service, ideally in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible with work hours, including weekends and holidays.
